Masło Maślane
About This Spot
Stepping into Masło Maślane, tucked away on Garncarska Street in Gdańsk, feels like entering a space where tradition gently meets thoughtful modernity. The air carries a calm warmth, softened by natural light that spills softly across well-worn wooden tables and carefully curated details. There’s a quiet rhythm here — unhurried yet alive — inviting you to slow down and savor each moment, whether you're sharing a meal with friends or simply soaking in the intimate atmosphere.
Masło Maślane is a destination for those who appreciate a thoughtful approach to Polish cuisine, one that honors familiar flavors while offering subtle surprises. The concept of sharing smaller plates encourages a sense of togetherness, turning the meal into a communal experience rather than a solo journey. It's not just about what’s on the plate, but how those tastes spark conversation, smiles, and a feeling of genuine connection around the table.
The kitchen leans into the richness of regional ingredients, presenting classic dishes through a modern lens — where the crunch of fresh cabbage or the unctuousness of herring find new character, and pierogi come alive with inventive fillings that balance comfort and creativity. Each bite reveals attention to detail without fuss, and the staff’s warm, welcoming spirit enhances that sense of ease, making you feel like part of a quietly unfolding local story.
Whether you arrive seeking familiar tastes or a fresh perspective on Polish culinary heritage, Masło Maślane invites you to settle in and appreciate the nuances of a meal shared slowly, in good company, amid the subtle textures of a thoughtfully restored setting.

Fantastic modern food at a lovely atmosphere. Its a well renovated restaurant that has its attention to detail. The food was great, we ordered several small dishes and shared them all. The cabbage in particular was so crunchy. Fresh herring too. Hope they stick around for a while!

Delicious, flavoursome food. We took the pierogi ukraińskie, placki ziemniaczane and pyry between the 2 of us, and we're very content.

Amazing Polish food with a twist! It’s recommended to order 3-4 plates for two people, and that’s what we did. The pierogi were one of the tastiest I’ve ever tried, and everything else we had was equally tasty - though some things needed another pinch of salt. Value for money was good too. Highly recommend!

Interesting concept of smaller sharing meals. Tasty and of very good quality. Pierogi z jagodami are out of this word. Staff very friendly and happily explains everything.

Recommended by a local friend, and wow what a gem it is! The food is yummy The whole menu is basically a modern twist on traditional Polish dishes. Everything was just perfect PS. Kogel-Mogel with strawberries for dessert is a must!

We went in a little too early, so we started with breakfast. Went back later that day to dine. The food was heavenly! Breakfast portions were big, we should have shared. But it kept us going all day until dinner time. Tomato soup was the best I have ever tasted. We shared ”grey” dumplings with sauerkraut and fried dumplings ukrainian style. Service was quick and friendly. This place was absolute worthy and deserves every recommendation

We ate breakfast here. It was good, but the portions aren’t filling. Also, there was quite a long waiting time. The prices are very reasonable though!

Really great place with a variety of tasty food! We make it a point to visit every time we’re in the area. Great lunch and dinner food so suggest dropping in any time you feel peckish. The restaurant has a great selection of vegetarian food, served in a tapas style format. They serve a cool twist on many traditional Polish dishes. Highly recommend the pyzy with pulled beef, cauliflower steak and chargrilled cabbage. They’re also one of the few places that service a variety of locally sourced wines as well as orange wine, which is a must try!
